Preparations for Moving

Hello.

My name is Cat. I created this blog in order to start expanding my writing portfolio.

A little about me:

I am 27 and married to the awesomest man in the world. My dream is to have a novel, or several, published. It wouldn’t hurt to become world famous, but its not really a goal of mine. I am an eclectic person with a huge variety of interests. I am focusing on my writing, but I do have an interest in animal health, family and children, camping, fishing, art, crafts, and the internet.

I currently “work” for Helium.com as a Channel Steward for the Society and Lifestyles channel. As a channel steward, I watch the entire channel for inappropriate content, good writers and new writers. I then offer assistance to said writers and help create a happy and giving atmosphere. I would with a wonderful team who have impressed me time and again with their diligence and abilities.

The rest of it

My husband, who is not only intelligent and caring, but sweet, sensitive and understanding, has just been given the offer of a lifetime. A friend of his is helping him to market his ideas about hydrogen to the world. My husband now has several financial investors who are interested in his theories. Soon he will have a working prototype but luckily, the investors are willing to help us start a better life. My parents and sibling are also willing to help us out. So we are moving to North Bend, Oregon.

I am honestly very excited about this on two very seperate fronts. I have no family where I currently live. Everyone who has lived in town has either moved to another town or left this world for a better one. So I have been here with just my husband. His family has been almost torturously mean to me. They claim friendship whenever my husband is around, but bare the knives when he leaves. So I finally will be around my family. Last time I was up for a visit, I met one of my great aunts, whom I had never met before. It was an exhilarating experience.

The second reason is that my husband is finally being given the chance he so deserves. After having his original ideas stolen from him by Water-for-fuel, this chance will be different. He has several funders and so this is a chance for him to start the way it was supposed to have before.

My own leap.

I will also be making a leap into the world. I plan on submitting a short story to several contests and hopefully, I will be published soon. So I am crossing my fingers and praying for success.
